A day pass
It is a very simple process to get a day pass on Fort Carson, Colorado Springs. One way is to come into the Fort Carson Visitor Center on the day of your visit. All adults in your group will need to be present and anyone over the age of 18 will need their own pass. You will need to bring in a State or Federal approved form of ID (passport, military ID, permanent residency card, drivers license*), your vehicle registration, and proof of insurance. It should only take about 5 minutes to obtain the pass depending on how busy they are. A sponsor does not need to be with you. The person processing you may also ask you how long you want the pass for, we've gotten the pass for up to a week, personally.
Another way is to pre-register using this link. https://visit.gvt.us/steps/branch_selection I don't really recommend this way as you still have to physically go into the Visitors Center to obtain a pass, but pre-registration just makes it a tiny bit faster.
The address for the Visitor Center is 6012 Nelson Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO 80902. If you are coming in for a maternity, newborn or milestone session with Jennifer Shneidman Photography, you will head to Jennifer's home studio after obtaining your pass. The address will be shared with you personally.
*Drivers license must be REAL ID compliant. You can check if yours qualifies: it will have a gold star or bear on the top right corner.
A Recurring pass for friends or family
For those visiting for an extended period, a sponsor must be present with you to obtain a pass. You'll need a State or Federal approved form of ID and your sponsor should fill out the FC Form 2036-E, online before heading to the visitor center. They can also fill out a form in person. Very simple!
